Harbingers of Glory - EP

Morts Heavy stoner/sludge with (of course) a huge dose of Iommi worship in the rolling, crushing riffs! In fact it would be remiss of me not to address the obvious - the opening riff from Apollo's Chariot being a strong homage (ahem) to Children Of The Grave. While they do wear their influences on their sleeves, Dragons Bane aren't a cookie-cutter band and hopefully Harbingers Of Glory isn't an overly ambitious title for this EP! Favorite track: Bridge 4.

I get good feelings when I look through her eyes I breath in deeply and she takes me so high Such infatuation aint it a shame I get good feelings when she hits my brain She tugs and pulls me past the planets and stars The distant galaxies don't seem so far The chariot drifts across the milky way My mind is racing as I slip away Until she fades away - Oh yeah The winged mistress takes me into her lair And just to drop me down she don't seem so fair Through smoke and ashes now I see her plan And I'll be waiting there with open hands Until she Fades away - Oh yeah

Loneliness is a graveyard From which there's no return The wolf goddess approaches Stills fear with her words Eyes of the blood moon The fools try to tame her A maiden by birth Made savage by nature She asks, what do you seek of me? I gasp stricken with grief Wolves sense I'm not the hero they seek Her arms seem so inviting She seems so enlightening The sky begins to blind me Am I lost within my mind? A land unfamiliar The wolves all take flight An enchantress condemns me To life dislodged from time All hail the wolf goddess of winter hear the tale, the wolf goddess of winter

Bridge 4 06:00
Recruits line up on the front line For most this will be the last time None of these men have ever seen war So for that they are sent to Bridge 4 All right you cremlings On your feet Prepare yourselves For the gemheart we seek Lift Drop Push Die Good men fall on the shattered plains Against the parshmen they've yet to tame Bridgecrews charge the chasm so deep With only their lives that they pray to keep Then as swarms of arrows black out the sky Don't you know bridgemen are supposed to die And so the nightmare began its last phase The seconds they just felt like days Bodies pile up after they scream Rotspren gather all putrid and green And if they survive To see today through All they will get Is horneater stew Lift Drop Push Die Survive
